Who We Are
For Keepsake’s story all began with my mum's wish for our families photographs, slides, negatives and important documents to be organised, easily accessible and protected for future generations. It was over lunch that she was inspired by her dearest friend, who had finally started the process to secure her precious collection. Not long after, I was asked to take on the project, as she felt very overwhelmed by the concept. Initially we purchased what we were told, ‘would do more than we could imagine’, without making a costly investment in professional equipment. Following the sorting and categorising, I started the lengthy process of scanning the collection. As I viewed a selection of the digital images, I found myself feeling disappointed as they were not satisfactory and the quality did not meet my expectations.
After gaining interest in the concept, I realised that maybe I could assist others who were in the same predicament. It was a year of acquiring equipment, endless hours of research and planning, prior to For Keepsake being launched in the winter of 2013. Our ultimate reward has been the many priceless moments, as our clients view their collection in digital form for the first time; often unearthing that sentimental picture which has been hidden away for decades.
I hoped to create this website so people were not only well informed about the service digital archiving provides, but to inspire and motivate them to dust off their families collection. I believe it is essential to spend time with loved ones, young and old, to relive the laughter, joy and humour captured in those precious moments.

On the contrary, you have the opportunity to speak directly with the person who will be handling your collection, giving them the white glove treatment.
Every item you send our way is hand-checked, not ‘batch’ scanned, no matter the quantity. We individually view each image as it is scanned, digitised and preserved right here in Melbourne. For Keepsake views photo collections as irreplaceable and invaluable, capturing treasured moments in ours and our loved ones lives, for they are the still shots of our existence. They are the time capsule where we can be propelled through the eras, enjoying and treasuring stories of those that are still with us, and sadly those who have passed. People often inherit boxes full of precious moments, yet they are unaware of what, who and why it was captured. In taking the time to document all of these details you are leaving a family legacy.

The 1st stage of archiving your collection is to identify the exact hopes you have for your treasured memories. Locating all of your material you could not live without will allow us to develop a unique solution specifically for you.
Preserve
This rewarding process is undertaken with clear steps. Categorising, then sorting following the ABC solution guide, lastly archiving your treasured memories following guidelines prescribed by the national archives.
Secure
A secure media device will house your digital keepsake collection for archiving at your chosen location, For Keepsake assists you in arranging a safe storage solution so you have completed your projected with 100% piece of mind.

Bringing new life to your old memories.
- Customised scanning from wallet prints to 8" x 10" or as large as 11" x 14" (A3)
- Precious albums can be kept in their original condition, no cutting is performed, we prefer to scan the whole page and crop.
- Rotation, border removal, cropping and duplex scanning are included for every image.
- Negative and slide scanning also available.
- Once preserved your digital collection is transferred onto a secure USB stick or portable hard drive.
For Keepsake can also streamline the process of capturing, indexing, and distribution of critical digital business documents.
Once prepared these documents are processed using industry recognised scanners and OCR software to produce text-searchable PDF’s.
